LEVELLING UP
Through gaining exp (experience) you can also level up. You gain experience from killing enemies and completing objectives. Experience rewards are scaled depending on the level of the party compared to the difficulty of the enemy or objective they have completed.
-
Players need to gain 1000 exp at each level to level up.
-
Level 100 is the maximum level
-
Any experience earned is shared evenly across the party.
When you level up:
-
Choose 1 perk for your character. This perk must be from an Archetype that you have sufficiently levelled to choose the perk. You cannot select perks from previous levels.
-
Increase any stat of your choice. You cannot increase the same stat you increased on your previous level up.
-
You can optionally draw a card from the deck of fates.
Perks
Perks represent special upgrades to your skillset. You can only get the next level of a perk for an Archetype if you have unlocked the previous level for that Archetype.
Choosing more perks from the same Archetype will allow you to reach more powerful perks sooner and specialise more. However, you can also put some levels into other Archetypes to be more versatile, try unique combos and mix it up a bit.
Each new level you get will have multiple different perk options to choose from for that particular Archetype level.
As a character approaches higher levels they become masters of their particular skill sets.
Non-magic builds are usually more stat heavy and have a lot of bonuses for combat. Magic builds tend to scale towards very powerful abilities much later in the game.
ARCHETYPES
Archetypes represent your character’s dedication to learning a particular skillset. Archetypes contain perks you can choose from when you level up.
